This is a well taken care of 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in a convenient central location near the Chico Mall. It has laminate floors throughout the home, a new roof, and a low maintenance backyard that will be easy on your water bill.
I grew up in Santa Barbara, but fell in love with northern California years ago.
After I earned a B.S. in Atmospheric Science from UC Davis, I worked as a TV meteorologist in Colorado, Alaska, and California (including over 15 years in the North State!). Some of the big weather events I covered during my time in Northern California include the big windstorms in December 1995 and January 2008, the 1997 New Years Flood, the 2008 Lightning Fires, the 2017 Oroville Dam Spillway disaster, the 2018 Carr Fire, and the 2018 Camp Fire. I was also the meteorologist for Butte County's Camp Fire investigation, and testified to the Butte County Grand Jury in detail about the weather conditions of the Camp Fire.
I have two tall teenagers, so you may see me grocery shopping a lot. In my free time, I like working out at the gym, and tracking, forecasting, & talking about our local weather on this website!
My dog Charlie used to come to work with me every day for years. You may remember Chico Charlie from his occasional TV cameos!
Years of being on live television have sharpened my communication & negotiation skills, and ability to think quickly in pressure situations. I believe I bring passion and sharp attention to detail to help buyers in a focused search for their new dream home, and to help sellers get the most value for their home. I’d love to chat with you about both real estate and weather, and how I can help your next home purchase or sale be as stress free as a gentle rain yet happen lightning quick!
If you have a real estate or a weather question, shoot me an email at KrisKuyper@kw.com. You can always browse the latest home listings on my other website at: KrisKuyper.kw.com. And of course you can always stay updated on our local weather here, at KuyperLocalWeather.com.
